Last session of reading Saiful Malook in Khari Sharif today
Rawalpindi: The twin cities literary group 'Punjabi Sufi Sangat' has been organizing a weekly session for last three years to read and understand 'Saif al -Malook', a famous Punjabi poetry boo written by Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, a great Punjabi Sufi poet of Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
The last session of reading and understanding the boook will be held at Darbar Khari Sharif, Mirpur today (Sunday) at 11: am, says a press release issued here on Saturdeay.
Propessor Saeed Ahmad, author of Great Sufi Wisdom books series will elaborate the text recited byu the each participant of the gathering. P:unjabi sufi Sangat is a group of Punjabis who love Sufi poetry of the Punjab. This group was established about 3 year ago by Professor Saeed Ahmad, organized such meetings in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to enrich the minds of the participants with mundane as well as mystic meanings of the poetry of Mian Muhammad Bakhsh.
Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (1830 - 1907) is one of the grat Sufi poets of the Punjab and Kashmir who wrote weventeen books in Punjabi and one in Persian. No doubt it was a wonderful and very unique practice to rewad the book regularly without any break every week.
For last one year the Writers House of Academy of Letters, Islamabad was the campus to arrange such gatherings. Punjabi Sufi Sangat will continue its sessions in future too.
