I graduated from Bombay University with a Masters in English
Literature. At that time very little punjabi literature was available
in the romanized script, and what translations were available
swung between painfully earnest, ludicrous and just plain bad.
For me, romanizing Punjabi and then translating it into English sprang from an entirely personal need. Little by little a body of work was
accumulated and two decades later this website is the result.
