Writer, poet, researcher, activist Ahmad Saleem passes away

Senior Punjabi and Urdu writer, poet, researcher, Left wing activist Ahmad Saleem passed away in Islamabad.

Ahmad Saleem was 78 years old, he was suffering from liver disease for some time, he will be buried in Lahore.

Ahmed Saleem was born in 1945 in Mandi Bahauddin area of Meyana Gondal, he was also a part of National Awami Party and Communist Party of Pakistan.

In 1971, Ahmed Saleem had to go to jail for opposing the operation in East Pakistan. Ahmed Saleem translated two books of Shaikh Ayaz poetry also

He wrote dozens of books in Urdu and English, and had a keen eye on the political history of the country.

He collected the important events of the country’s history from Pakistani newspapers in 4 volumes.
