LAHORE - Hundreds of Indian Sikh pilgrims (Yatries) to arrive in Lahore through Wagha Railway Station on 10 days visit for participating in the 317th Vaisakhi Festival (Mela) on April 12.Pilgrims will offer religious rituals to perform Ardas and Paath Sahib at Hassan Abdal and celebrate main ceremony of Baisakhi festival to offering religious ritual (Bhog Akhand Paath Gurdwara Panja Sahib).Yatries will also visit Nankana Sahib as well as, Sikh pilgrims also go to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad, Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore, Rohri Sahib Amanabad, Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur at Narowal and Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore. While, they will be returned to India on April 21 via special trains after offering religious tradition rituals and 10 days stay in Pakistan.The festival of Vaisakhi - also known as Baisakhi - honours the founding of Sikh community known as the Khalsa. It also marks the beginning of a new solar year and the harvesting season. DO (C) Lahore Sundas Irshad talking with Daily Times told that she have directed to all concerned departments to complete their arrangements and submit report in DCO Office before their arrival.She said that the foolproof security, best residence and others facilities would provide to Yatries on their arrival in the city. She said that instructions have been given to Police, LWMC, LESCO, Auqaf Department, Assistant Commissioners, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Information and Town Municipal Administration officials.Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) arranged air-conditioned coaches for senior citizens and special persons to provide best facilities for their travel in the country.
