Delhi-4-1-09-Kuldip Nayar releasing book- Bhagat Singh Vicharvan Inqlabi' by Chaman Lal .Kartar Singh Duggal also present

New Delhi, "Bhagat Singh:Vicharvan Imqlabi',a book on the thinker revolutionary Bhagat Singh in Punjabi by Prof. Chaman Lal of JNU New Delhi was released today at a function held in Navyug Farm. Published by known Punjabi publishing house, Navyug publishers of Delhi, the book was released by eminent writer and journalist Kuldip Nayar in annual 'Dhup Di Mehfi'( gathering in sunshine) organized by Punjabi Sahit Sabha of Delhi. Introducing the book Gurbachan Singh Bhullar, eminent Punjabi short story writer and former editor of 'Punjabi Tribune', Chandigarh said that he knows author since long and the author has presented Bhagat Singh in an objective manner. He appreciated the fact that the book carries rare photographs from Pakistan in the book and the author has focused on Bhagat Singh's ideas about the country and society rather than presenting his stereo type image of ' a man with bombs and pistols'. He complimented the author for this comprehensive book on Bhagat Singh.
Kuldip Nayar, while complimenting the author for his painstaking research, narrated his own experiences, about writing his own books on Bhagat Singh.Chaman Lal, the author of the book, while expressing deep satisfaction at the publication of this book in his mother tongue said that he already has five books on Bhagat Singh in Hindi and English, he was happy to have his first book in his mother tongue Punjabi on the great revolutionary thinker. He said that the book has attracted the attention of even Pakistani scholars and the Pakistani publishers, who wish to transliterate the book in Persian script for the benefit of readers there. Recently one of the eminent Urdu writers of Pakistan Zahida Hina has referred to Bhagat Singh as the greatest martyr of Pakistan in freedom struggle, as he was born and executed on Pakistani soil of today. The author dedicated the release of the book to the memory of late Bhapa Pritam Singh, the founder of Navyug Publishing house Delhi.Dr. Renuka Singh presented vote of thanks. On the occasion large number of Punjabi writers and other personalities were present, such as Gulzar singh Sandhu, Dr. Raghbir Singh Sirjana,Dr. Amrik Singh, Jaswant Singh Neki, Prabhjot Kaur, Kartar Singh Duggal, Imroz and many more.
